The COVID-19 pandemic has the potential to affect the quality and scale of nutrition, health and other lifesaving interventions. The restrictions on mobility and recommendations on social distancing will affect nutrition programmes, and measures are needed to mitigate the potential negative impacts. Maintaining and supporting community-based interventions will be vital. To do this, it is critical to identify feasible and effective ways of working to implement nutrition programmes through remote support.
The purpose of this guide is to help nutrition advisors and managers to provide remote support for staff working at the community or health facility level. Note that this guidance and annexes are intended for use primarily in humanitarian nutrition interventions.
